Ekam-Kitchen Kompost is an easy affordable solution to convert organic waste into quality fertile compost by open aerobic composting process.

Kitchen Kompost converts organic waste into fertile organic manure through the process of open aerobic composting process. In this process the kitchen waste both cooked and raw will be collected and put into composting bin. For commercial and industrial purpose waste shredder can be used as the volumes are large. While for domestic use the longer pieces of vegetables, stems of leafy vegetable etc. can be cut into smaller pieces and added to composting bin. Kompost Kare aerobic bacteria culture will be added (this is to be added only the first time) for composting and this mass will be stored in the composting bin. For shuffling the mass one long handed rod is used while adding new waste.Composting takes around 27-30 days for the first time to convert it into potent compost, after that it can be collected daily. The bacteria create heat while consuming wet waste, temperature is around 60-70 degree celsius which is used for drying the wet mass. Therefore, the top surface should be covered with a gunny bag for commercial or industrial composting bin and with a piece of newspaper for domestic composting bin. This will curb the heat in the mass. As the composting bin will get full the lower half portion which is almost one month old will be removed in a separate container and can be used as a plant manure . After composting this mass is a black colored humus which could be dried for 2-3 days in sun for storage or it can be added directly to plants.
