A foldable/stackable desk for children in aanganwadis and schools where there is a shortage of space to put up permanent desks and chairs. It gives children a platform to place their books and write on.
Most aanganwadis and government schools experience a shortage of space, the area is not big enough to put in any kind of furniture and the children have to be seated on the floor. Writing, especially becomes a task for children since they have to place their books on the floor and write. A foldable desk solves the problem of space and allows the children to sit up and write/read. It prevents back issues in children due to bending too much and makes writing/reading convenient. The desks are of the right size and fit for one child per desk. Since it is foldable, the desks can be stacked up after use and not crowd up the little available space. The dimensions of table are Length (60 cm), Width (40 cm), Height (24.5 cm). Available in multiple colors, these sturdy desks are made up of 12mm MDF with white metal powder coated legs which are foldable.
In several schools/aanganwadis, children sit on the floor for long hours which leads to back pain, bad posture, strained vision and poor handwriting. These sturdy, light-weight, ergonomic and foldable tables serve as a great aid for children to use for writing, reading etc. There is no requirement of assembling the product and it comes with warranty against manufacturing defects. The material used to create these desks is MDF (Medium density fibreboard), which is an engineering wood product made by breaking down hardwood/softwood into wood fibreas and forming panels by applying high pressure and temperature. It is denser than plywood and much stronger than particle board and hence lasts much longer.
Owing to its material composition and durability, these desks last much longer than the typical particle board desks and thereby have lower environmental footprint.
