SmartBins uses patented technology to automatically detect, segregate and collect recyclables VS non-recyclables at the source itself without the need for human intervention and also rewards the users.
We-Convert is developing and selling SmartBins that will automatically separate and store all types of solid waste at the source itself. Users will be encouraged to recycle more every time when they avail offers from the unique reward based ecosystem, such as a discount on the next Starbucks coffee or an Amazon gift cards. The collected recyclables are sold to recycling companies at half of its usual cost and split the revenue with the clients using that SmartBin. When not in use, the machine’s screen will be utilized to display ADs. SmartBins will collect a detailed data from users based on their disposal and rewards redemption profiles which will be used by brands to target their customers/user much more efficiently.
India has been facing a huge challenge in Waste Management practices and We-convert believes that the problem lies with the mindset of the people. To bring about a change, it is necessary to trigger the mindset of the citizens for waste management and that's what led to the idea for creating a technology platform that can form a part of people's lives and will be a step towards a sustainable environment.
