We considered the following options: 1. Thought of keeping the dust bin and a sign-board 2. Planting saplings on the platform. 3. Wall-painting to spread the awareness to the public on keeping the place clean. The wall painting and the sapling-plantation were selected. The students opted to paint religious symbols on the wall which will have some impact on the public to keep the place clean. The paintings were appreciated by public and some people also helped in bringing some saplings. The students worked on these after their school hours and also during holidays. We are now planning to conduct Road Shows to explain the need of cleanliness in our area. We shall also be distributing hand pamphlets to educate the public on keeping the area clean and litter-free.

Many passerby were impressed by the efforts of the students and appreciated them. Some gave their ideas to the students while some came forward to help in writing the captions too. We shared the project as presentation to the students at the school and also uploaded the video on Facebook (there were many likes too). We shall continue to advocate this issue in public and get their support. We shall also conduct road-shows in the future to give more visibility to the cause. If this project is successful, the area around the school will become a model for other citizens to motivate them to keep their area litter-free.
