Ginti- Providing colorful Math kits and manipulatives to Government School Children

It is Varun's birthday on the 23rd of September and on this occasion, we are doing something special. We, the team of LetsEndorse, are raising funds to be able to buy a complete math-learning kit for one school, which can help build foundational and conceptual understanding among children.
The entire team shall volunteer on a few Saturdays from October onwards, to a local Government School (to start with) and over a 2-3 hour long session, teach children (Class 3-7), the basic concepts of math.
LetsEndorse has decide to focus is on the activity-based experiential learning that enhances child’s ability to think mathematically, see patterns and structures and handle abstractions rather than rote memorisation or mastering procedures. We have identified a couple of Government Higher Primary Schools in association with the AkshayaPatra Foundation already (thanks to Nilakshi!!).
Through parallel sessions happening in 4 classrooms, the LetsEndorse team shall leverage the math kit (which comes with 40 multipurpose manipulatives) and volunteer to make children learn the concepts faster and better. One full kit can serve students from Class 1 to 7.
While we are starting with one kit, we shall be more than happy to continue our work beyond just one school. Anyone else who wants to team up, is more than welcome!!
We believe that the Mathematics Kits will fit in beautifully in our plan to create math super-stars in each child. They are sturdy, and attractive and in our past deployments, we have seen that children learn the basic arithmetical concepts with a lot more enthusiasm when tactile methods are used.
As for the teachers, we are positive that they will be happy with the kits. Moreover, monitoring and periodic evaluation of children’s progress in cognitive and non-cognitive skills shall be routinely done by our team. We expect to see discernible changes in the mathematical aptitude and perhaps also non-cognitive skills of the children.
