About The Grant

The purpose of this scheme are regeneration and Eco-development of degraded forests, increasing the availability and efficient use of fuel wood, fodder and grasses, ensuring people's participation in planning and regeneration efforts areas.

Timeline

The completed proposals as per the scheme guidelines shall be received by the State/ UT Forest Departments from 1st July to 31st August of each calendar year.

The focus is to preserve forests and environment in order to engage community in sustainable livelihoods.

Grant/Award Information

The scheme would be implemented as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme/ Central Sector Scheme for the FDAs to which projects will be sanctioned directly by the NAEB, with 100% central funding (except maintenance of AOFFP scheme projects sanctioned. Click here for more details. The cost norms have been worked out at the wage rate of Rs. 75.00 per day.

How to Apply

The project proposals should be sent to Principal Chief Conservator of Forests of the concerned State Government/ UT Administration. The completed proposals as per the scheme guidelines shall be received by the State/ UT Forest Departments from 1st July to 31st August of each calendar year.

National Afforestation & Eco-Development Board The National Afforestation and Eco-Development Board (NAEB), set up in August 1992,is responsible for promoting afforestation,tree planting, ecological restoration and eco-development activities in the country, with special attention to the degraded forest areas and lands adjoining the forest areas, national parks, sanctuaries and other protected areas as well as the ecologically fragile areas like the Western Himalayas, Aravallis, Western Ghats, etc.
