About The Grant

The purpose of scheme is to supports marginalized women/girls living in difficult circumstances without any social and economic support by providing with food, shelter and clothing.

Timeline

This rant can be applied for throughout the year, the evaluation takes place right after the financial year concludes.

Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Health, HIV/AIDS, Housing & Shelter, Women & Gender, Rehabilitation of the distressed.

Grant/Award Information

Assistance for Construction: Ceiling INR 133,000 per resident

Assistance for Rent: The maximum rent admissible for a Swadhar Greh intended for 30 residents is Rs. 50,000/- per month in grade ‘A’ cities, Rs. 30,000/- per month in grade ‘B’ cities and Rs. 18,000/- at other places. The list of grade ‘A’ and grade ‘B’ cities is annexed.

Administration and Management: INR 5,52,000 (break-up documented)

Other recurring expenditures to be declared by the applicant organization.

NGOs, VOs, Public Trusts, Panchayati Raj Institutions and Co-operative institutions.

About The Organisation

The Department of Women and Child Development, Government of India, came into existence as a separate Ministry with effect from 30th January, 2006, earlier since 1985 it was a Department under the Ministry of Human Resources Development.

The Ministry was constituted with the prime intention of addressing gaps in State action for women and children for promoting inter-Ministerial and inter-sectoral convergence to create gender equitable and child-centred legislation, policies and programmes.
